"U73" errors all of the time. Using Yamaha RX-V665 AV Receiver. There is a "handshake" issue in the HDMI connection dealing with the audio codecs. All of my HDMI connections (cables) are 1.3, however, when the disc calls for a certain decoder, e.g., DTS HD-MASTER or DOLBY TRUE-HD, the connection fails, the player freezes up and crashes. Have a "Case #" with Panasonic, though their Customer Service is for the most part, "incompetent". I researched BD players for the past 8 months, wanted the BD-55K, but they pulled it from the market. The BD-80 is the "refinement" -- it wasn't broke, and they "fixed it".
